At a school, a boy named Minase finds a strange book in the basement, tied with a chain with a Star of David on it. After reading this book, he realizes that he can possess magical powers, and tries them on his classmates. The effect surpasses all his expectations. After a certain ritual, any girl he desires is in his power. The other students learn of this and ask for his help, a success which is evidenced by the scene shown in one of the first episodes. Parallel to this, Kitami's teacher is shown. Kitami has made a deal with the Devil in the past (she was supposed to be a victim, but she beat her killers by promising their souls in exchange for her own) and now she must find a virgin before Walpurgis Night arrives in order to stay alive. In this way she moves into an innocent body, and prolongs her life until the next time. But the ritual must take place at midnight, or the contract is "nullified.
