Tsutomu's parents died a few years ago, before that they ran a flower store. It is now run by his older brother's wife, Mai, and he now lives with him. Tsutomu's brother now works elsewhere, so Mai is left alone and her only support is Tsutomu, who helps her run the flower store. Because Tsutomu's brother is busy and hasn't been home for a long time, Mai feels lonely, which Tsutomu notices and decides to support and satisfy Mai while his brother is away.
